Four questions before you copy

  1. What is the approach?

Read the strategy description and understand which markets it covers. Review the length and limitations of the available trading history.

  2. What happened during losses?

Consider drawdown and losing periods, not just positive months. Historical results do not guarantee future outcomes.

  3. What are the costs?

Review the performance-fee tier and prior-loss recovery rule. Trading costs and copying outcomes can affect results.

  4. What happens when you stop?

Stopping copying ARM717 closes only the open positions copied from ARM717. Pending copied orders associated with ARM717 are cancelled. It does not close manually opened positions. Closing prices can differ from the prices shown when you confirm. The outcome depends on execution prices; review the current controls before confirming.

Read the Social profile, one tab at a time

The Social interface includes Profile, Portfolio, Community, Positions and Copy tabs. Use them together when reviewing ARM717 or another available strategy. Controls and availability may vary by account.

Profile: establish the period first

Check the available history before interpreting the return chart, success rate, daily P/L or maximum drawdown. Selecting 1Y does not establish that a trader has a full year of history. Compare the selected period with the join date and days in the system.

Platform labels such as Expert and a numerical risk level need the platform’s definitions. They do not, by themselves, establish professional credentials, suitability or a limit on future losses.

Portfolio: understand what the percentages measure

Use the Pie or Table view and the available period filters to inspect the instruments shown. Confirm whether the percentages represent trade count, volume, exposure or another measure before treating them as an allocation of capital.

Community: separate popularity from performance

Watching and Copying are separate views. Watcher and copier counts show participation; they do not establish profitability or suitability for your account.

Positions: distinguish open and closed results

Review Open positions, Pending orders and Closed positions separately. The interface can display instrument, direction, rates, times and position P/L. A closed-trade result alone does not describe the risk still present in open positions.

Copy: review your own settings

The Copy tab shows copying controls. An existing arrangement can show Allocate equity, the current amount, instrument selection, Save and Uncopy. These are account settings, not a recommendation or a guarantee that your result will match the lead trader.

Read the fee schedule

Minimum initial investment is USD 1,000. The fee tier stays based on the initial investment, even after later deposits or withdrawals. Fees are calculated at 8:00 p.m. New York time on the last calendar day of each month, including weekends, on eligible closed-trade profits after prior losses are recovered.

The Finance Team deducts the copy-trading performance fee manually on the first working day of the following month, before CFD trading hours begin. Calculation and deduction are separate steps; the platform does not automatically deduct this fee.

Common questions

Is capital protected?

Copy trading involves risk and can result in losses. Do not assume capital protection.

Does a profitable trader guarantee my results?

No. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Read the applicable copying and execution terms.

Examine the record, not just the headline

Check how long the record covers and whether it represents live trading or a simulation. Compare the same dates and currency. Check whether the figures include costs, open-position losses and the effects of deposits or withdrawals. Review monthly results, trade count and concentration: a few unusually large wins can distort an average.

Understand drawdown and recovery

Drawdown measures a fall from a previous account-value peak. Ask whether the calculation uses equity, including open positions, or closed-trade balance. Review both the depth of the decline and time spent below the previous peak. Historical drawdown is not a ceiling on future losses.

Illustration: a fall from USD 1,000 to USD 800 is a 20% drawdown. Recovering from USD 800 to USD 1,000 requires a 25% gain. This simplified example excludes fees and cash flows; it is not a forecast.

Read the trading style

Compare average wins, average losses and the largest loss. Check instruments, overnight exposure, leverage and whether position sizes increase after losses. A high win rate alone does not establish profitability.

Illustration: eight USD 10 wins and two USD 60 losses total a USD 40 loss before costs, despite an 80% win rate. These are hypothetical figures, not trader performance.

Check allocation and overlapping exposure

Consider cash needs and other exposures. Two traders can hold similar positions, so following more names does not necessarily diversify risk. Understand minimum sizes, margin requirements and how adding or withdrawing funds affects copying. Do not rely on copied returns for essential commitments.

Allow for execution differences

Latency, liquidity, minimum trade sizes and available margin can change fills or prevent trades from copying. Your result can differ from the lead trader’s. Copying ARM717 applies only to trades newly opened after you subscribe. Positions already open in ARM717’s account are not copied on entry. Ask support what happens during interruptions.

Write down your review plan

Record why you chose the strategy, what you can afford to risk, a review date and events that warrant an earlier check. Watch for changes in instruments, leverage, position sizing or execution. Stopping copying ARM717 closes only the open positions copied from ARM717. Pending copied orders associated with ARM717 are cancelled. It does not close manually opened positions. Closing prices can differ from the prices shown when you confirm. Review the current confirmation and resulting account status. Execution prices can differ from expectations.

Before subscribing, you should be able to explain the record’s limits, drawdowns, allocation, costs and exit controls. Resolve unanswered questions first. Read the current fee schedule and Copy Trading Risk Disclosure.
